To My Dear Ex Girlfriend: A Letter To Let You Know That I Forgive You

To My Dear Ex,

It has been 2 years since our break up; more than a year since we had any kind of a meaningful conversation. You might wonder as to why I am writing this letter and you’ll find the answer as you continue reading. As you know, you were my first girlfriend.

You have given me a lot of memories that I am thankful for and a few things that I learned along the way. I am thankful for the kisses and hugs. I am thankful for the love that you showed. But most importantly, I am thankful to you for breaking up with me.

Sure, I was glad that we were in a relationship when it started, but you will have to admit that you telling me that you were in love with someone else wasn’t exactly a good note to start a relationship. I recovered from that, I believed you when you said that you wanted to move on and that you liked me and that you needed my help to move forward.

I didn’t see it then, that I was nothing more than a rebound. A rebound who you showed dreams bigger than he had ever imagined. A rebound who you promised a world where we would be together. I cannot believe that I thought that I was in love with you.

Today, with the benefit of hindsight, I realized that what I thought was love was nothing more than the need of a lonely heart to be with someone, to care for someone, to love someone. This heart didn’t let me see past your false promises of being together, standing up against your family for us, the same promises that I asked you repeatedly not to make. The promises which you said would be true, that you’ll work to make them come true. I learnt the hard way that promises are meant to be broken but I also learnt that the ones who won’t break a promise will never need to make one.

Strangely, at one point you were the centre of my life and I could not have seen a life without you. You were my obsession and my passion. I was possessive about you and surely a bit insecure, I’m sure you found those parts suffocating, and I’m sorry for that.

For quite some time, I can say that for an unhealthy amount of time, after our break up, I kept hoping that we would get back together. We could have worked things out. But we didn’t. Maybe we lacked the requisite wisdom to handle the complications in our relationship. Maybe I suffocated you too much; maybe you gave up too easily, maybe we were not mature enough. Either way, the past is now just past.

I would be lying if I said I didn’t miss you from time to time, being at our coffee shop, where we said we loved each other and also where you said that it’s over between the two of us, or our little stolen moments in classes or our long video chats. They did mean a lot.

All I want to do now is apologize for any hurt I caused you when we were together (maybe in this letter) and make it known that I’ve forgiven you from the bottom of my heart. I hope you do the same.

Women Don't Need To Change Their Names In Passport After Marriage Anymore, Announces PM

PM Modi has just announced a good news for the newly-married couples who were planning their summer breaks for overseas, but are stuck up in the process of updating spouses' names on the passport. to Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced that women are free to retain their maiden names in their passports now after their marriage.
"From now onwards, women will not have to change their names in the passport after their marriage," Modi told a gathering of the Indian Merchants Chambers' ladies wing over a video conferencing.
The government wants the woman of the house to be the priority in all of its development schemes, he added.
Citing various women-oriented schemes launched by his government, the Prime Minister said the maternity leave for the women has been extended now to 26 weeks from the present 12 weeks while another scheme provides for the transfer of Rs 6,000 to women, who chose to deliver in hospitals.
On the free cooking gas distribution project launched last year under the Ujjwala scheme, Modi said, "The government has set a target of covering as many as 5 crore people from BPL families over the next two years. Within a year of its launch, the scheme has already benefited 2 crore women."
Under the LPG subsidy surrender campaign, already 1.2 crore people have voluntarily given up their benefits, he added.
Praising women for their entrepreneurial spirit, Modi said wherever women are given an opportunity, they have proved that they are two steps ahead of the men.

CM Yogi Did The Impossible! Ended SC, ST & OBC Quota From UP’s Private Medical Colleges

Ever since Yogi Adityanath became the Chief Minister of UP, he took some bold decisions and made sure that they were implemented swiftly and properly. Some of these were too good while few didn’t go down well, as there have been problems with the implementation of those decisions; for instance, anti-Romeo squad.
However, what his government has lately done is no less than an award-winning step. On a regular basis, there have been many posts on social media against reservation, as it’s a deadly pest which is hollowing our country from within and it is because of the reservation that the real talent goes in vain.
Nevertheless, the Yogi govt. has recently announced that admissions based on reservations quota will soon finish in UP’s dental colleges as well as private medical colleges. An order is passed by Yogi to remove quota for SC, ST and OBC candidates.
Additionally, the govt. is making up mind of refurbishing Uttar Pradesh’s education system. From now onwards, the English subject will be introduced from nursery in place of the VI standard.
Not only this, it’s also laying emphasis on foreign languages and will make certain that students get the opportunity to learn minimum one foreign language.
What do you think of this step taken by the UP govt? Share your views in the comments section below.

The Format of the GRE Revised General Test

The GRE revised General Test is composed of three assessment sections: verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, and analytical writing. The two verbal sections contain reading comprehension (single answer, and multiple answers), text completion, and sentence equivalence questions, while the two quantitative reasoning sections contain multiple choice (single answer, and multiple answers), quantitative comparison, and user input questions. The analytical writing section is comprised of two writing tasks, each 30 minutes long.
  • Verbal Reasoning — Measures your ability to analyze and evaluate written material and synthesize information obtained from it, analyze relationships among component parts of sentences and recognize relationships among words and concepts.
  • Quantitative Reasoning — Measures problem-solving ability using basic concepts of arithmetic, algebra, geometry and data analysis.

  • Analytical Writing — Measures critical thinking and analytical writing skills, specifically your ability to articulate and support complex ideas clearly and effectively.

Verbal Reasoning Question Types

The Verbal Reasoning measure contains three types of questions. Click on the links below to get a closer look at each, including sample questions with rationales.

Quantitative Reasoning Question Types

The Quantitative Reasoning measure has four types of questions. Click on the links below to get a closer look at each, including sample questions with rationales.

Introduction to the Analytical Writing Measure

The Analytical Writing measure tests your critical thinking and analytical writing skills. It assesses your ability to articulate and support complex ideas, construct and evaluate arguments, and sustain a focused and coherent discussion. It does not assess specific content knowledge.
The Analytical Writing measure consists of two separately timed analytical writing tasks:
The Issue task presents an opinion on an issue of general interest followed by specific instructions on how to respond to that issue. You are required to evaluate the issue, consider its complexities and develop an argument with reasons and examples to support your views.
The Argument task requires you to evaluate a given argument according to specific instructions. You will need to consider the logical soundness of the argument rather than agree or disagree with the position it presents.
The two tasks are complementary in that one requires you to construct your own argument by taking a position and providing evidence supporting your views on an issue, and the other requires you to evaluate someone else's argument by assessing its claims and evaluating the evidence it provides.
Individuals taking the computer-delivered test will use a basic word processor developed by ETS. The basic word processor contains the following functionalities: insert text, delete text, cut-and-paste and undo the previous action. Tools such as a spell checker and grammar checker are not available in the ETS software, largely to maintain fairness with those examines who must hand write their essays at paper-delivered administrations.
Who Takes GRE?

Prospective graduate and business school applicants from all around the world who are interested in pursuing a master's, MBA, specialized master's in business or doctoral degree take the GRE revised General Test. Applicants come from varying educational and cultural backgrounds and the GRE revised General Test provides schools with a common measure for comparing candidates' qualifications.
GRE scores are used by admissions or fellowship panels to supplement your undergraduate records, recommendation letters and other qualifications for graduate-level study.

GATE Information

Is the GATE important?

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an all-India examination being conducted and administered by the Indian Institute of Science and seven Indian Institutes of Technology. It is conducted by the National Coordination Board GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
In the present competitive scenario, where there is mushrooming of universities and engineering colleges, the only yardstick to measure and test the caliber of engineering students is the GATE. There is a misconception among students that GATE exam is meant for ME./M.Tech which finally leads to a teaching career only.

The GATE advantage:

Many public sector undertakings such as BHEL, Indian Oil Corporation, NTPC, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (there are PSUs totalling 217 in number) are using the GATE score for selecting candidates for their organisations. Students who qualify in GATE are entitled to a stipend of Rs 8,000 per month during their M.Tech course. Better remuneration is being offered for students of M.Tech/M.E as compared to those pursuing B.Tech /B.E. A good GATE rank assures a good job. After joining M.Tech. at IITs and IISc, one can look at a salary package ranging from Rs 7 lakh to 30 lakh per annum, depending upon specialisation and performance.
Clearing GATE is also an eligibility clause for the award of Junior Research Fellowship in CSIR Laboratories. M.Tech. degree is mandatory for those wishing to apply for research positions in R&D centres. The GATE score is valid for two years and those who qualify this test are eligible for doing Master’s degree at NUS, (National University of Singapore), Singapore. A GATE score definitely gives one an edge when it comes to joining reputed companies as well as off-campus recruitments. For those who couldn’t pursue their BTech in IIT, it provides another opportunity to study in the prestigious IITs. Above all, it certainly gives you a huge technical edge over others in all your interviews and career planning
